M. S. Bradley
Michael Bradley earned his Juris Doctor in 2006 and has spent nearly two decades practicing law in Louisiana. He began his career as a public defender, where he quickly built a reputation in the courtroom, maintained the highest plea-to-dismissal ratio in the State of Louisiana, and was recognized on multiple occasions as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in the country. He was also voted St. Tammany Parish’s favorite lawyer in any category. That experience gave him a clear understanding of how cases are built and how to break them down.
After leaving the public defender’s office, Michael moved into private practice and expanded his work into criminal defense, family law, and personal injury. Over time, his practice grew through results and word of mouth. Today, he is a founder and partner at James and Bradley, a firm built on preparation, aggressive advocacy, and a commitment to getting results for clients across Southeast Louisiana. His practice focuses primarily on serious criminal defense and high-stakes family law matters.
Michael founded and chaired the Criminal Division of the 22nd Judicial District Bar Association to help improve and streamline the criminal process in St. Tammany Parish. The division remains active today. He also stays involved in the local political process, supporting candidates he believes will serve the community the right way, while maintaining no government contracts.
He approaches every case with a practical mindset. Most people who come into his office are dealing with one of the hardest situations of their lives. Whether it involves their freedom, their family, or their finances, the stakes are real. Michael focuses on preparation, clear communication, and making sure his clients understand exactly what they are facing and what their options are.
Michael has been married since 2002. He and his wife live in Southeast Louisiana and spend their time between Old Covington and their weekend place in Old Arabi with their two rescue dogs and two rescue cats.
