Mark L. James, II
Mark L. James, II is a founding partner of James & Bradley Law Firm, LLC, focusing on criminal defense and family law for clients in St. Tammany, Washington and Tangipahoa Parishes. A Franklinton native, he earned his degree in Communication Studies from LSU and his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2003, where he served as an editor of the Maritime Law Journal. He began his career as a prosecutor with the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office before opening his own practice in Franklinton, which later grew to include Covington.
Mark James is a Louisiana attorney focused on criminal defense and family law. He was born and raised in Franklinton, Louisiana, where he grew up in a family committed to service. His father is a physician, and his grandfather served as a judge, which gave him an early appreciation for both the legal system and the responsibility that comes with helping others.
Before entering private practice, Mark served as a prosecutor and maintained a conviction rate exceeding 92 percent. That experience gives him insight into how cases are built and how prosecutors approach trial, allowing him to better identify weaknesses in the State’s case and defend his clients effectively.

Mark earned his degree in Communication Studies from LSU. He is married to a registered nurse, and together they are raising five children.
